A Get Well for Auntie Mary

Hello Everyone! Today's post is a get well card for Keith's Auntie Mary who recently underwent a surgery. We hope that this card finds her in good spirits and doing her recovery exercises!

I used my new sets and inks from Papertrey Ink; Turning a New Leaf and Background Basics Text Styles. Not only did these stamps arrive beautifully packaged they are probably the best quality clear stamps and inks I have ever worked with. They stamped like a dream! Here you can see Text Styles stamped in Ocean Tides ink. I over-laid different leaf images in Aqua Mist ink which coordinated beautifully. Something about this ink was amazing. I loved it immediately.

I used my border punch in Baja Breeze from Stampin Up along with matching ribbon and a vintage Ocean Tides button with some linen thread. The sentiment is heat embossed in white so it can be clearly read on my kraft base, which I keep reaching for over and over again! I also paper pierced around the border for an added detail. I used my new piercing tool from Stampin Up and I can tell you this must be the best tool money can buy. I was having a horrible time with an old one. I don't think it was sharp enough. This one is sharp and gives a crisp pierce, yay.
Thanks for stopping by to view today's project!
