Another Wednesday is upon us! And I'm truly feeling old because my lil' brother just got engaged! This week's card is made for my brother and his fiance and these fun summery colors made a lovely Best Wishes card for them!!
Broni is our hostess this week at the Color Throwdown Challenge and here is that summery and fun palette I was mentioning
This week I am heavily influenced by some of the recent cards of Barbara Anders, fellow Color Throwdown design team member. She's done some amazing work for the Throwdown using the Turning A New Leaf set from PTI recently and I totally jumped on it with this week's card.
I stamped the background on the Top Note die...it felt good to stamp...using Turning A New Leaf and Piece of Cake(flower). I added in the orange centers using a Copic Marker. I mounted the die cut on an orange and yellow matted background which I ran through with my linen/canvas texture plate - my new go to texture plate. I added in the SU! striped ribbon, a very mini-rolled flower and leaf on a stick-pin, a yellow button threaded with linen and a sentiment panel and I called it done.
Considering I started this Tuesday afternoon, it's not bad!
Make sure to stop by the Color Throwdown Challenge blog and view all the delicious creations of the design team and help me welcome our guest designer for the month of August, Iwona Palamountain, better known as Chupa! I cannot wait to see all of her fabulous creations right here for the next few weeks!
Thanks for stopping by today!
