Color Throwdown Wednesday!
Well, Hiya Honey! Thanks for stopping by today! I'm here because it's Color Throwdown Wednesday! This week Bar is our hostess and she picked colors that were right up my alley. Love these...have a look!
For some reason, I had absolutely no idea what I was going to do until yesterday. I was chatting with Tammy and she had mentioned Sentiment Flags to me and I realized it's been sadly neglected with all this Pinwheel die and stamp set release business. So I pulled it out and here's what I created...
I thought this little bear holding the flag would be soooo cute. Both the flag pole and flag border are images from the Sentiment Flags stamp set which you can find HERE. I also used some of my most favorite papers; Thrift Shop from October Afternoon. I was also able to incorporate some texture with a cork scalloped border, hemp twine, buttons and brads. I'm so sad that my sewing machine is deadsville! I cleaned her out and everything and she still didn't work! I've got to get to my Grammy's to get the oil! If that doesn't work to the repair shop the ol' girl will go...the sewing machine. Not Grammy!
Want to play along with our challenge? Head on over to the Color Throwdown Blog and read up on all the deets then make a card or other paper crafted (i.e. tangible) project and link it to the CTD blog using the linky tool we provide. It's really fun! I hope you will.
On a side note, the pinwheel dies are in my lil' hands and the stamps will be here by the end of the week. Honestly, I am giddy to be able to release these to you. I think you are going to love them. No idea what I'm talking about? Scroll down and see some of my most recent posts using these new products. Then, follow me here or at the shop and keep up to date on all the new release info!
Head on over to the blogs of the Color Throwdown Designers. Their work will inspire you immensely and you just won't be able to resist playing along!
