Hi there! I have three cards to share with you today all of which I sumbitted to Paper Crafts Magazine's special addition of Go To Sketches for Card Makers. Sadly, I didn't get any happy mail today from the editors, but try try again I will!
I had a fleeting thought the day the acceptances were being issued that it would be fun to have a reject blog hop. Thankfully, the talented Amber took this idea and ran with it and actually organized this fun hop for all of us! Thanks, Amber! You can visit Amber's blog Damask Love HERE. This is where the hop begins and loads of people have participated. Isn't that fun? We should TOTALLY do this ALL the time for each call.
Here are my creations..... This one uses sketch #13.
These both use sketch #14. I thought Sentiment Flags would be PERFECT to use in this sketch.
I felt like these were all neat interpretations but that were also easily recognized as the sketch they were based on.
I was very pleased to have been able to submit for this call. I have never created so many cards in one week! At least I can say I tried! You gotta be in it to win it right? Right!
Off to continue the preparations for my lil' guy's THIRD birthday party tomorrow! Have a great weekend!!
Thanks for stopping by today!

ReplyDeleteSuper awesome cards Laura and all great interpretations. I think when there are that many entries that they must look for unique instead of literal interpretations.
ReplyDeleteI would totally publish ANY of these if I were an editor. They're AWESOME, Laura!! I especially like the middle one with the blue doily background and the music paper flags. GORGEOUS!
ReplyDeleteThese cards are wonderful, Laura! I especially love the second one, with the beautiful soft blue, kraft, and music score. You should definitely keep submitting, because you have some fabulous creations!
