Color Throwdown Day!!

Well, hello there! It's Color Throwdown day and I'm so excited! This week Cathy is our hostess and I am totally in love with this color combo!!! Yeehaaaa! Have a look... I have two cards to share with you today, but first....I finally, finally got my new Fred the Bear inky! I LOVE this stamp set from My Favorite Things. The image is truly adorable and the sentiments that it's paired with are just awesome. Here's what I did with him....

Sorry for the sub-par photos. It was such a grey day when I photo'd this. I should have waited! I might try again if the weather is better today. Yeesh!

I never say this, but I just love how this turned out (in real life it looks so much better)! I used Karen Giron's Sweet Sunday Sketch #112. How could I not? I saw that my Sentiment Flags die would work perfectly and I couldn't resist. So I colored Fred with Copics, cut him out with Nesties and added in some Stickles. My Papers are Stampin' Up's Daffodil Delight, Bermuda Bay and Certainly Celery and the decorative papers are from My Mind's Eye which I haven't put away since they arrived and I think I'm going to have to buy more! Yes, I tweaked this week's colors just a bit. I didn't like the way Taken with Teal looked so I went with the Bermuda Bay which was a much better option to pair with my dp.

Want to learn how to play along? Head on over to the Color Throwdown Challenge blog to read up on all the deets and while your surfing today, stop by and leave my fellow design team friends some love at their blogs as well as they're sure to provide with ample inspiration using this week's colors.
