I Made It!
Ok, I'm a little late to the party, but I made it! This week Bar is our hostess and she chose the perfect palette for a Mother's Day card, I think! Have a look!
Here's what I made!
I'm sure you're not surprised to see a Pinwheel on my card! HA! I just can't stop. They're just too much fun! I used three different papers for my pinwheel from the Happy Spots collection from PaperTrey Ink. I alternated pink and blue but backed them both with the more krafty-ish paper from the collection. I also make the sentiment panel from felt using my Sentiment Flags die and letters from my Cricut machine which I stitched so it would stay in place nicely over my lollipop stick and then just some other simple details like the hand-dyed bias tape and a crochet covered button. Having the pinwheel as my focal point really makes the rest of the card just fall into place!
So we have some annoucements today!!! I'm so excited to announce that Carole Burrage is a permanent member of the Color Throwdown Team!!! Hooorayyyy!!! A HUGE WELCOME, Carole!!! Carole is amazingly talented and just a hoot and I'm so looking forward to getting to know her and working alongside her! Yippeee!!
Also, please help me welcome Jen Mitchell of I Create as our guestie for the month of May! Jen is a regular player with fabulously designed projects and we're so happy to have her with us this month!
