It's Color Throwdown Wednesday! This week Tammy is our hostess. Here are the colors she's picked for us to play with...

So I've been entering some of my projects into the Paper Crafts Gallery Idol open auditions. I created this one with the "congrats" theme in mind...
And funny enough it meets the criteria for the CAS-ual Friday Challenge #6 with embossing, felt and twine. Yep, it's embossed. I know. It's hard to tell that the saffron layer is embossed with PTI's linen texture plate. It looks GREAT in person. I'm hoping to get a better photo of this in the morning. Keep your fingers crossed for some sunshine!
I thought it would be fun to use the Sentiment Flags die and stamp set from Lil' Inker Designs. The congratulations sentiment and the flag pole are from the Sentiment Flags stamp set which were designed to coordinate with the Sentiment Flags die. It's sort of like I climbed to the higest hill top and planted my flag just to congratulate you on something monumental except there was no climbing and only card making involved...which I prefer by the way! HA!
I also added in the small cloud from the Rainbows & Clouds die set from Lil' Inker Designs. I know...I sound like a broken record but I love love love the perforated detail on the clouds. So stinkin' cute! I created this little scene as my hill top. I was heavily inspired by a card of Chan Vuong's that appears in the new July/August issue of Paper Crafts Mag. I thought it was brilliant to add the texture of felt for a grassy hill!
