Blabsent - Absent from Blabbing on Blog

I've been "blabsent"!! It's been almost a week since my last post and I can't believe it! I've been busy working on my son's 1st birthday invitations as well as getting ready for my new Stampin' Up! order to arrive which will be here TOMORROW! I can hardly wait! I signed up to be a new demo so my first order is coming tomorrow and my starter kit will arrive the day after so I've been busy cleaning and organizing to make room for my new supplies!

I knew I wanted to use a monkey image for Little Keith's B-day invites because we call him Our Little Monkey, but I've been procrastinating because I wanted to do a really simple design as they needed to be mass-produced. I only had to make 16 of them, but I didn't want to have to buy additional supplies seeing as how I already spent a million dollars at SU!.

That's when I saw this card made by my new friend and fellow Creatively Cute blogger Mary Jo of Monkey Business! Scrapbook Lounge. I just loved this card and it inspired me to make my own like it because I felt that it was a simple enough design to be mass-produced but had a huge cute factor!

My sentiment "Our Little Monkey is Turning One!" was created on my computer using WordArt, the image was then flipped/reversed and printed onto make your own rub on transfer paper! This has to be the coolest stuff and was so easy to use once I figured out how to reverse my font.

I'm finally done making the invites as of tonight and they are going to work with my hubbs tomorrow for mailing. I feel like I just sent out his birth announcements! Time flies!!!
