Matahati's Fiona: Engagement Card

Here is an engagement card I made for friends who recently got engaged and stopped by this past Saturday night for some fun.
It's made using digital paper from Matahati Designs' Fiona kit. These digital kits are really inspiring and I'm finding they coordinate really well with lots of the SU! colors. Please visit Matahati Designs amazing shop by clicking on the button on the right-hand side of this post!
This color combo is out of the norm for me, but I gave it a shot. I dyed the ribbon which was white with a Copic marker to match.

Ingredients:
Stamps: Wonderful Favorites (SU!)
Paper: Fiona Kit(Matahati Designs), Rose Red textured cs, Taken with Teal, Whisper White cs(SU!)
Ink: Summer Sun, Rose Red, Taken with Teal(SU!), Copic
Accessories: Heidi Swapp ghost flower XL, filigree brad, spiral punch(SU!), paper piercing tool, ribbon(stash)

Matahati Designs Blooming Days

Good morning all! This is my newest hybrid project for Matahati Designs. As many of you already know, I am part of the Creative Team for Matahati Designs and I couldn't be more extactic to represent their products.
Matahati's digital images kits are primarily used for digital scrapbooking but I was chosen to hi-light the endless possibilities of these images and show how they can be incorporated into my card making projects.
I used my Scrapbook Factory Deluxe software to work with these images from the Blooming Days kit which was released in March. Software does not have to be used but because I wanted to created one image from many I layered them using software. So I took the wagon and added the flowers and leaves and the twine ribbon (from the Vintage Charm kit) to create one image which I printed on heavy weight paper. So simple, this took me less than 5 minutes! Then I printed this beautiful background image and poped up my wagon image on adhesive dots and adhered them together. I then layed these images on SU!'s Baja Breeze card stock which coordinated perfectly. This entire image panel was adhered to a clear acrylic transparency which is my card base and I added some of my Grandmother's vintage lace from her stash and some pearl stickers for a fitting embellishment. What you can't see is that I added some Copic Spica in the center of the flowers and you should see how it twinkles. I really love the way this turned out and it took so litle time. Having these images to print out and use together is a real time saver and creates a beautiful project.
Here is a link to the gallery where you can browse some of the amazing projects of the Creative Team. And here is a link to the store where you can find all the beautiful current releases.
Did I mention that I am going to use this card for Mother's Day?
Hope you enjoyed viewing this as much as I enjoyed making it. I love that I can incorporate my computer and my cardmaking supplies. It brings my two loves together!
Ingredients
Images from Matahati Designs Blooming Days and Vintage Charm kits
Paper: transparency from Staples, Baja Breeze from SU!
Accessories: actual vintage lace older than me from my Grammy's stash and pearl stickers from The Paper Source

Digital...It's not just for scrapbooking anymore!

Good morning! I am so excited to post my first creation as a Matahati Design creative team member. I was truly inspired to create when I saw this digital designer paper featured in the Vintage Charm kit. Here is a picture of all the digital elements you would receive upon purchasing this beautiful kit. It's filled with two amazing alphabets and loads of vintage inspired images.
Matahati's kits are all digital, super easy to download and use even for the novice computer user.
My design is a hybrid or blend of digital and traditional elements which is the fastest growing trend I've seen in card making in a very long time.
Please visit the Matahati Designs shop HERE. You will find amazing products that will inspire you to make beautiful hybrid creations and did I mention how affordable they are?!Non-Matahati Ingredients include a variety of papers and Great Friend stamp set from Stampin' Up.
