I'm Featured on Tip Junkies!!!.....

Just a quick post to say "OMG"! I am featured today on the Tip Junkies blog and I didn't even know it! I have been seeing all these people arriving on my blog today from Tip Junkies and when I went to their blog I scrolled down and low and behold there is the hat card I made for Mother's Day for my sister-in-law!!

Click HERE to see the post which featured fabulous DIY Mother's Day ideas! I love this site! Do you read it? I'm subscribed via Networked Blogs on Facebook, but because I never make it there I added it to my reading list once I saw my card there today! HA! It's chock full of crafty goodness and inspiration! What's even cooler about this feature is that #8 is a project from Jen del Muro of I {Heart} 2 Stamp! I'm a super big fan of Jen's so to have my work in the same post as hers is wayy cool. I'm such a nerd, I know!
I'm off to update the hat card post with the template so ladies can make these fabulous cards for the moms they love. It's a fun, cute lil' project!
Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Mommy's Day - New From Chi Chi Memories and My Give Away Winner!!!

The countdown is on for Mother's Day! Are your cards done yet? Don't worry, mine aren't either. BUT I was able to make these two using this fabulous new set called Happy Mommy's Day from Chi Chi Memories. Aren't these images the sweetest...and VERSATILE beyond Mother's Day, don't you think? That's what I love about Natalie's designs so much... not only are they affordable but they can be used for so many different occasions.

This first one was made using these lovely papers from Cosmo Cricket and my new rectangle Nestabilities and various embellishments. I just love that this little guy's t-shirt says "I {heart} Mom".

My second card uses this adorable bear image from the set. I chose to paper piece him which was the theme this week at the Digital Tuesday Challenge #54. And funny enough, all of the designers there were given a Chi Chi Memories set called Birthday Girl to play with so there is a whole Chi Chi Memories theme this week at the Digital Tuesday Challenge, so of course I had to play along and share the Chi Chi love!!

So two cards for Mother's Day are done and only a few more to go and I will FOR SURE be turning to this set to finish off the rest and I will surely post those when they're complete.

Couple of other exciting things to share today....make sure to stop by the Chi Chi Memories blog. Natalie has posted April's give away and it's super easy to participate. You get three different chances to win. And if you sign up for the new Chi Chi Community Forum (and why wouldn't you?) that's one entry to win. Be sure to check out the simple instructions Natalie has posted on her blog and enter to win now through April 25th....oh....and the prize????? A set of her AMAZING stickers in the Flower Babies theme. They are adorable!! And if I don't win, I'm buying them!!! I can envision lots of baby gift using these babies. And having the coordinating digi stamps to match make gift and project making a cinch! See you in the forum!

And how could I forget..... winner, winner, chicken dinner!!!! CoreyW, you are the winner of these fabulous Chi Chi Memories stickers!!!!!

If you get a chance please don't forget to view my post from earlier today (scroll down). Anywhooo....I had lots of stamping time today. So here's what I created...the first of which is for the Stamptacular Sunday Challenge. The challenge was called "Going in Circles" and the idea was to create a card with as many circles on it as possible. I am quite literal in my interpretation as you can see as I went crazy with my polka dots stamps!!! I had a lot of fun participating. I have entered my name with some submissions in hopes to become part of their design team. We'll see, fingers crossed!

Matahati Designs Blooming Days

Good morning all! This is my newest hybrid project for Matahati Designs. As many of you already know, I am part of the Creative Team for Matahati Designs and I couldn't be more extactic to represent their products.
Matahati's digital images kits are primarily used for digital scrapbooking but I was chosen to hi-light the endless possibilities of these images and show how they can be incorporated into my card making projects.
I used my Scrapbook Factory Deluxe software to work with these images from the Blooming Days kit which was released in March. Software does not have to be used but because I wanted to created one image from many I layered them using software. So I took the wagon and added the flowers and leaves and the twine ribbon (from the Vintage Charm kit) to create one image which I printed on heavy weight paper. So simple, this took me less than 5 minutes! Then I printed this beautiful background image and poped up my wagon image on adhesive dots and adhered them together. I then layed these images on SU!'s Baja Breeze card stock which coordinated perfectly. This entire image panel was adhered to a clear acrylic transparency which is my card base and I added some of my Grandmother's vintage lace from her stash and some pearl stickers for a fitting embellishment. What you can't see is that I added some Copic Spica in the center of the flowers and you should see how it twinkles. I really love the way this turned out and it took so litle time. Having these images to print out and use together is a real time saver and creates a beautiful project.
Here is a link to the gallery where you can browse some of the amazing projects of the Creative Team. And here is a link to the store where you can find all the beautiful current releases.
Did I mention that I am going to use this card for Mother's Day?
Hope you enjoyed viewing this as much as I enjoyed making it. I love that I can incorporate my computer and my cardmaking supplies. It brings my two loves together!
Ingredients
Images from Matahati Designs Blooming Days and Vintage Charm kits
Paper: transparency from Staples, Baja Breeze from SU!
Accessories: actual vintage lace older than me from my Grammy's stash and pearl stickers from The Paper Source
