Happy Easter!!

Good morning! It's such a beautiful day today!
This year, instead of mailing my Easter cards I decided to put them with the pretty plants we're giving to our moms and Grammy. They looked so pretty on my table this morning I just had to take a picture to share with you.

Happy Easter!

Very Exciting News I've Been Dying To Share!!

This past Tuesday I got a very exciting e-mail from Melissa at Pink Cat Studio...She asked if I would make her a sample for her upcoming Easter Digi release!!! I was so excited I could barely contain myself!
Of course I immediately replied and thanked her profusely for thinking of me and she sent me two adorable images to choose from. I chose this wayyy cute Lily and Chicks Paint an Egg image.

I decided to paper piece Lily's egg to match the designer paper I used as a background, but added hi-lights and shading to make it pop just a bit.
Lily and her chickie friends are layered on a scalloped Vellum circle. I don't use vellum a lot, but I really should because it gives a nice, soft effect.
I added in some accents using my Egg Hunt set from Papertrey Ink which I thought complemented this adorable image very nicely. What do you think? Are you heading over to Pink Cat Studio now to pick up this image? I hope so! This adorable image is available today at Pink Cat Studio in the digi store.Be sure to check out all the other amazing images that were released today!

Have a question about using digital images? Melissa has some great information for you at her digital store as well, but as always, never hesitate to drop me a line! I would love to hear from you.
Oh, I almost forgot...HERE is the blog post announcing the new release and you can see my card next to cards from many incredibly talented designers! I'm so proud!

More Easter Candy from Chi Chi Memories

Can you tell I'm in love with Chi Chi Memories? I colored up this little girl bunny from the Happy Easter set so I decided to use the same layout as my previous card which is this week's Taylored Expressions sketch challenge TESC104. I changed up the colors for this little gal but still used these sweet Bunny Love papers from Sweet Shoppe Designs. I think I actually like this card better than my first one! What do you think?
Keeping this short and sweet. Have a fabulous day!

Happy Easter With Chi Chi Memories

It's a gloomy rainy day here, but I'm bringing you this cheerful and bright Easter card using this adorable bunny image from the Happy Easter new release from Chi Chi Memories. Isn't he cute?
I struggled today to get great pictures as there really is no natural light but I really wanted to share this with you as soon as it was ready. My mom came over today to visit me and little man and she told me to go upstairs and do something so instead of cleaning I found myself creating...you don't have to tell me twice!
So I'm keeping it short and sweet today, but I do hope you will visit Chi Chi Memories and pick up a copy of this adorable set for only $4!
Don't you love how this sentiment from Papertrey Ink matches so nicely?
The layout I used was inspired by the Taylored Expressions Challenge, TESC104. It's my first time participating over at Taylored Expressions, but I was inspired to give this one a try!
Oh, and I almost forgot to mention that all the delicious decorative papers are digital! I got them today from Sweet Shoppe Designs. They are from the set called Bunny Love. I love being able to shop for stamps and matching papers and getting them immediately! Gotta love digi!
Thanks for visiting

If you get a chance please don't forget to view my post from earlier today (scroll down). Anywhooo....I had lots of stamping time today. So here's what I created...the first of which is for the Stamptacular Sunday Challenge. The challenge was called "Going in Circles" and the idea was to create a card with as many circles on it as possible. I am quite literal in my interpretation as you can see as I went crazy with my polka dots stamps!!! I had a lot of fun participating. I have entered my name with some submissions in hopes to become part of their design team. We'll see, fingers crossed!

CCB03 Challenge, Dustin Pike Rules! ( and I still have FREE Goodies)

Before getting to the awesome work of Dustin Pike, let me quickly announce that the Creatively Cute bloggers challenge #3 has been announced. The challenge is to make an Easter card (style of your choice) AND to use texture in the card you make. To participate, upload your creation to Splitcoast Stampers using keyword CCB03 by Wednesday, April 8th. Lacey (our hostess) will pick a random number to get the winner. The winner will be announced on Thurday, April 9th and will receive some stamped images from High Hopes and Whiff of Joy along with some primas, ribbon, and designer paper! Sounds good to me! Here is a link to the CCB03 Gallery.
So a week or so ago I was browsing the Creatively Cute blogs and Anjou (Dreaming in Color) featured an image from artist, Dustin Pike that was incredibly cute and FREE. So I immediately went to his site and downloaded this Easter Bunny image among many others. I colored bunny with Copics, but I ran out of blender ink!!! My marker is as dry as a bone. I cried, got over it and did my best without it and scoured the internet to find a cheap refill. I then added liquid applique to his fur and tail and hit the eggs with my Spica glitter marker and added some white hi-lights with my gel pen for effect. It's not horrible for no blender! I was surprised.
I used SCS sketch challenge SC222 for my layout which is fun and a simple one to use and added some brads and ribbon for extra fun.
I decided to go sans sentiment. I think you get that it's an Easter card although I did type up a "Got Eggs?" phrase in Word. Maybe I'll slap it on there somewhere before I mail this to my Auntie. Decisions, decisions!
So I am now a huge Dustin Pike fan and I urge you to run to his site and check out his fab artwork.
By the way, I still have many duplicate stamp sets from the SU! Sale-a-Bration mini-catalog that I would love to give away FREE with an order over $50. Please contact me if you've been thinking of placing an order at lpryor1@hotmail.com The SAB sale is over, but NOT FOR ME!
AND A GREAT BIG WELCOME TO MY TWO NEW FOLLOWERS!!! THANKS A WHOLE BIG BUNCH!!!!
