EEK!
I was inspired to make this owl-y creature after seeing the new Halloween release from Sweet Shoppe Designs. I ended up buying this adorable digi set because I just couldn't resist. But as soon as I saw that little purple guy I knew I had to make him come to life with my punches!
I ran my Top Note die and Rich Razzleberry paper through my Big Kick and then cut the Top Not in half and cut off the perforated section. I dotted my Spica Clear marker all around the border for an extra little twinkle. His eyes were punch with both a 1 inch and 3/4 in circle punches. His nose is one petal from my Five Petal punch. His feet are one small scalloped circle cut in half. The moon behind my owl was cut out with a nestie and I punched a star out of Crushed Curry card stock adding a green button tied with twine and this cut out "Eeek" saying from last year's Halloween paper.
For my background, I layered some Halloween themed paper (also from last year) onto Kiwi Kiss and machine stitched them with a silly stitch. I didn't know how I was going to complete my design ALL DAY that is until I was inspired by Jen del Muro's Sketch For You To Try. I didn't follow her design exactly but it help me get by!
Can you believe I only have one Halloween stamp set and I don't even have anything that says Boo!!! I'm going to have to do something about that! HA!
Now that I'm looking more closely at this card the "moon" is missing something....some paper piercing perhaps? Heading to bed maybe tomorrow!
Thanks for stopping by!
